Can Franchisees Ever Give Other Franchisees Bad Advice?

Filed under Commitment by kymelotee7013 on 19-12-2011

As a Franchisor, prior to retirement, I had noted and often marveled at the incredible speed at which information flew through our organization and mind you this was during the very beginnings of widespread public Internet use. adult single chat Most of the communication was done via telephone, and not everyone had a cell phone yet, as those too were somewhat new. chat avenue adult Yes, I guess there are folks in the workforce today who could not imagine such a thing, but it’s true, and there were no social networks.

Still, even with this massive and rapid communication flow, I also noted the challenges, one problem we had was franchisees giving less-than-good advice to other franchisees. Often they were just trying to help but unfortunately their advice was not that great. Worse, as our franchise operation spread to multiple states, and we were franchising mobile car washing and fleet washing trucks, we found a huge amount of regional variation. And those with challenges in Arizona, were nothing similar to a franchisee in let’s say Cleveland, OH for instance.

In fact, although the actual “business model” was the same, the operations were far from similar, and we’d learned to adapt to the climates, seasonality, and differences in customer perception in the different areas of our nation. Things got even more intriguing as we grew internationally with different rules, laws, and ways of doing things – wow, what a culture shock indeed. Someone in Washington State giving advice by email to someone in Portugal on how to run their mobile car washing operation was rather laughable in hindsight, although the franchisees sure loved communicating with one another, and yes, I obviously encouraged that, it was a big morale booster.

Eventually, I noted that bad advice was permeating our organization, the advice was not bad from the originator’s perspective however, it was less-than-stellar for the receiver in a totally different climate and market. Thus, I finally decided to send out newsletters to the franchisees and explain in the articles such differences, and it made our team think, I called these newsletters; Letters from Lance – after I read Michael Dell’s Book, a biography and history of how he built Dell Computers and his famous; “Messages from Mike” internal newsletter.

That seemed to solve the problem, and then the franchisees better understood what I knew about regional variations, and the advice got better, and the team grew stronger and closer together, as franchisees learned what everyone else was doing – what worked, what didn’t, and why. From then on when explaining operational advice to each other, they’d always throw in the caveats such as; “well, here is what I do, but remember it gets cold up here in the winter time, you might not have that problem,” and our challenges were solved.

Okay so, franchisors need to be thinking here, as today communication is even speedier with social networks, and you need to keep the team focused and reality based for their individual markets. Please consider all this, think on it, and then act on this information in your organization.

It is not often that you find women who openly talk about their problems with their sec life. In fact, it has become such a taboo that more and more women fall into the pitfall of having a painful sex life or not having one at all. However, in the event of female libido enhancers, every woman now has the chance to bring back the usual joy in having sexual intercourse and get the best possible effects. • Am I the only one having a problem with my low libido?

It may come as a surprise but you are not alone in the world with a low libido problem. In fact, there are millions of other women all over the world who experience a low sex drive as they grow older. Luckily for them, several female libido enhancers are already out in the market to give their sex life a boost to achieve the ultimate sexual pleasure that every woman dreams about.

• Can Viagra be used by women too?

Sadly, Viagra is a sexual enhancer that is especially made for men so even if women drink it, it will not have the same effect on them. Some tragic news hits you hard and makes you re-evaluate your entire life. Use this opportunity to think long and hard about the direction you are taking. It’s also a great excuse to spend a small fortune on getting absolutely slaughtered down the pub using the old ‘drowning your sorrows’ chestnut. Out of all bad there comes some good eh?

Virgo

A really dull month for you Virgoans, or whatever you’re called. With little money, your friends all away on holiday and no Countdown on the telly anymore, why don’t you turn your boredom into something constructive and……I dunno……invent a new board game or something. What do you mean it’s a rubbish suggestion? I’m doing my best to help! I’m just an astrologer – I’m not Jim’ll bloody Fix It you know!!

Scorpio

Isn’t the famine in Africa terrible? All those poor little kids with flies all over them wearing the clothes that we wore back in the 80s. It’s time to do something about it. Why not arrange a concert in a London Park, invite the world’s top musical acts, screen the whole event on worldwide TV and maybe do the same in other major countries around the world? Either that or go through your wardrobe pulling out the stuff you wouldn’t be seen dead in and take it down to Oxfam.

Sagittarius

Some unexpected news will put you in a situation where you have to make a major decision. Take your time and do what I do – think, ‘what would Brian McFadden do?’ Try and imagine yourself in Brian’s position under the same circumstances. How would he handle it? What would he be thinking? Just keep Brian in your heart and mind and you’ll come out of this ok.

Capricorn

A chance meeting with an old flame brings all those old feelings flooding back and before you know it, the pair of you will be at it like Jude Law with his child care staff. Just remember though that Jude is rich and attractive – you are neither and when your partner finds out what you’ve been up to, you’ll be single and penniless for ever. So make the most of your chance encounter and phone my new premium rate ‘How To Have Mind Blowing Sex’ advice line at the bottom of the page. (Calls charged at just f3.50 per minute)

The coming month sees the start of the new football season. My charts indicate that some Aquarians can’t wait for it whilst some can. They also indicate that it’ll be a good season for Arsenal, Chelsea or Manchester United or maybe Liverpool and that the Spice Girls may or may not get back together. Get yourself down to the bookies now!!

Pisces

You have to start cutting people a bit of slack. You have very high standards and expectancy levels and people are sometimes going to fall a little short. You have to bear this in mind – particularly when watching the new Ricky Gervais comedy series. It was never gonna be as good as the Office was it? Although it’s still quite funny isn’t it? What about the bit in the first episode with the bloke with the big shoe? Ha! Never gonna win a Golden Globe though is it?

Aries

Just like the animal of your star sign, the ram, it’s the time of the year when you may well be pondering getting a hair cut. With all the Aries in the country rushing out to get their hair cut at the same time, no wonder they call it ‘barber queue season’. Geddit? Ha! I’m bloody wasted here!

Taurus

For the last 3 months, your life has found new meaning. You’ve had something to do every night and you’ve got to know lots of new people. For the first time in memory, you’ve not been lonely. Your previously sad and pathetic existence has had a purpose. All that though is about to come to a grinding halt at the end of August. To help cope with this earth shattering trauma, why not phone my new premium rate ‘How To Cope When Big Brother Ends’ helpline listed at the bottom of the page. (Calls charged at just f3.50 per minute)

Gemini

The star sign Gemini is named after Terry Nutkins’ seal that used to appear on Animal Magic back in the 1980s. And just like the pop singer Seal, your career could disappear into oblivion this month if you don’t watch your back at work. Someone is out to get you. For Seal, it was Robbie Williams who came along, took over the charts and wrecked his career. So just watch out. He might seem like a cheeky chappy from Port Vale with some big tattoos, but he’s out to get ya! Robbie that is- not Terry Nutkins. Although apparently Terry does have a big tatoo saying “Club The Seal” on his midriff.

Cancer

I think there’s something wrong with these bloody star charts. That forecast I’ve done for Gemini is just total and utter blimmin’ nonsense. But it can’t be my charts. They’ve never been wrong yet. It must be…..the stars themselves! Oh my god! I don’t like the way they’re aligning. Something terrible is going to happen! Don’t go out this month! Not just you Cancerons….or whatever you’re called. Everyone! Stay in doors and keep them locked. The last time the stars were aligned like this The Krankies had their own prime time TV show and Les Dennis was considered one of the best up and coming comedy talents in the country! Noooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

7 Habits of Highly Successful Dating

1) Don’t look at other women

While dating, focus your attention on your date and make her feel as if she matters the most to you compared to other women. Let’s face it, women loved to be showered with attention and pampered by her man. If not for you, who else other than her immediate family members.

2) Make her feel like a queen.

On the first date, buy her dinner to show you value her company. This will also reduce any tension between two people meeting for the first time. Make her feel special. Women find this absolutely irresistible. Build a bond of fun and excitement between you and be romantic. Subsequently you can buy her gifts when the relationship progresses but never ask or even hint sexual favors in return. Women get appalled and turned off by any suggestion of sex initially.

3) Be yourself.

Don’t exaggerate or boast your credentials, successes, etc. Make the other party feel at home so that she does not feel pressured to impress or lie to you. Sincerity is the best policy. Nobody feels more comfortable around people who are genuine and sincere.

4) Don’t ever talk about your past relationships.

Don’t keep harping on them. This is a no-no and a sure turn-off. You will only project the impression that you are unable to let go and continue to give a present date a chance to get to know you better in a positive manner.

5) Treat your first date as if going for an “interview”.

You want to impress and let the other person know your qualities and characteristics for a life partner. If you are not ready to be in a commitment, let her know straight away so that you do not mislead her into false hopes. But be cautious not to boast or exaggerate stuffs that are beyond you. Your deepest communication to women is carried out by your personal style and your level of confidence. Nobody feels more at ease than being with a confident man.

6) Don’t keep splurging and live like a millionaire unless you are one yourself.

During the dating process, be careful how you handle money and spend within your own capacity. You don’t want a bank account of only 1 figure left after several dates. If you cannot afford it, go for somewhere cheaper or try less expensive alternatives. It is most undesirable if after several dates, you find that both of you are almost broke or worse, had to borrow to continue your lavish lifestyle. If your partner is in a habit of borrowing money from you, drop her or him immediately.

7) Be observant.

While dating for a while, you can conclude if this person is suitable for you for life or not. During dating, keep both eyes wide open and look for tell tale signs like a persistent borrower, in debt, etc but after marriage, keep a close eye and forgive.

The best time to date is during high school or undergraduate years as you are young with no “life baggage” but you can also date if you are single again. Marriage is meant to last for better or for worse till death do us part. But enjoy dating while you can and live life to the fullest.

The use of belly button rings for pregnant women is becoming a fashion lately. Many women refuse to get rid of their belly button rings even during their pregnancy. These pieces of jewelries serve as decorative accessories making the navel area look impressive. However, when this is practiced during pregnancy, several cautions and proper maintenance should be carefully observed. Here are some ways on how to properly deal with your rings during prenatal stage; whether you choose to keep it affixed on your belly, remove it, or pick another style.

Most health professionals recommend the removal of belly button jewelry or ring during pregnancy. Based from the reports of some women wherein their rings itch and pull as the belly stretches on the fifth or sixth month. You will be at risk of infection if the ring causes your skin abrasions. The best thing to do in this case is to remove it. On the event that the hole closes, just have your belly re-pierce when you’re ready after giving birth. Considering this scenario would help you take the necessary actions to keep you in good condition while pregnant.

Another option to bear in mind is to use non-metal jewelry. If you want to keep a ring hanging on your belly this type would be suited for pregnant women. It is flexible and is two inches in length which is adaptable to your growing abdomen. Expectant mothers acknowledge that this item enables their bellies pierced without pain unlike other piercing. Preferring to put this on would be the best alternative to stay trendy even pregnant.

Once you have decided to keep your ring in place, be vigilant on the possible discomforts that it might bring. Take notice on the skin surrounding the ring if it turns red or there is pus that’s developing. If it itch and makes you feel uneasy better just remove it. If the infections persist consult your physician for treatment.

Upholding to the use of belly button rings for pregnant women is a matter of choice. Seek advice from a piercing artist for the best product suited to your condition. Ask your doctor for guidelines having that belly button ring on when you give birth. You can also buy a non-piercing type which you only need to clip on. Planning to stay pretty with belly button rings for pregnant women is possible when you know how to maintain it safely.

Do I Have the Right to Take My Car to the Body Shop of My Choice?

Filed under Dating by kymelotee7013 on 22-11-2011

Getting into a car accident can be one of the most stressful events in life, no matter how light the damage. Dealing with insurance companies, understanding consumer rights and selecting a body shop for collision repair can be overwhelming. The situation is even harder when insurance companies disguise the truth and even try to get customers to choose their preferred repair shops.

Choice of a Shop in Nevada

Under Nevada law, the owner of the car has the right to select the auto body shop of their choice to carry out any collision repair. The car is the legal possession of the owner, not the insurance company. No company or policy can decide where it will be repaired. Unfortunately, many insurance companies tell customers they must use a list of pre-approved or recommended shops. A consumer who knows their rights is at an advantage and can select a body shop they know and trust.

Responsibility of Costs

No matter which auto body shop is selected, it is important to understand who is responsible for paying the bill. Of course the cost of repairs must be paid to the shop. The owner of the vehicle must pay the total cost of repairs. If the owner has insurance, the insurance provider must then repay the owner for the loss they have suffered. The amount paid to the vehicle owner takes into account the cost of repairs, minus any deductible on the policy and lost value.

What the Insurance Company Must Do

All insurance policies in the state of Nevada must conform to the law. This means every policy is required to restore a vehicle’s appearance, value, safety and function. In Nevada, when a vehicle is hit by someone with insurance, the car owner is entitled to payment for the loss of value. Many shops can help a customer send documentation of diminished value to the insurance company, which is used to award compensation. No matter which shop the owner chooses for collision repair, the insurance provider must restore the vehicle to its previous state.

False Insurance Company Claims

Many insurance companies use false claims to make customers select one of their preferred auto repair shops. One popular claim is that the customer is required to use a body shop from a pre-approved list. This is false and not what the law says. Some insurance providers tell customers they can have the vehicle repaired at a better price elsewhere. There is no financial benefit to the customer if the insurance company uses a cheaper auto body shop. Other insurance companies tell customers they can have the vehicle repaired faster at one of their preferred shops. However, quality work takes time and there is no way for the insurance provider to guarantee the speed of collision repair at their body shop.

It’s important for every consumer to know their rights when they are in an accident and need auto repair. According to Nevada law, only the owner of the vehicle can decide where the car will be repaired. No insurance provider or company can tell a consumer which shop to select. While some insurance companies make false claims to save money, an educated consumer will choose their own trusted shop for collision repair.

The Elements of a Great Racing Movie

Filed under Conflict by kymelotee7013 on 22-11-2011

Today’s technology allows just about anybody to make a great racing movie. Yet a tremendous amount of content is produced which has little or no value to the viewer. What I’m talking about is the onboard or in-car racing movie, not the mega-studio production ones. How do you make a motor sports film that captures the imagination of the viewer, yet shows all the critical action on track?

Everybody knows that actual racers produce the most realistic films. However, the production quality is usually less than perfect, even with today’s high definition cameras. The first step is pretty simple in concept but tricky in practice, that is, mounting the camera correctly. Without a good camera mount that isolates the camera from the intense vibrations of a racing vehicle and points it in the right direction, it is impossible to capture the video you want. At the beginning you should spend the money for a good camera mount and place it in the interior, on your helmet, or the bodywork in such a way that it captures the most exciting racing action.

The next step is the racing movie content. This includes not just the video component, but the audio and car data as well. Assuming you have the camera pointed in the right direction and it’s capturing great racing scenes, what should it sound like? Most people go with the good old motor sound with screeching tires approach. This is great if your vehicle has a nice sound like a V8 or wailing motorcycle. There are other alternatives for sound as well. You could do a voice-over, for example, if you were creating a teaching video or wanted to remember all the in-depth details of a particular race. Or you could make a music video out of it by dubbing over a song with the appropriate intensity level.

Do you have a racing data analysis system? Most of these systems allow you to add a data overlay to your racing movie, showing RPM, G-forces, braking, gear selection, and other performance metrics. Unless you are producing a technical race driving video, however, you should be conservative with these types of video overlays because they can distract the viewer from the main racing action. Less is more if you want the best entertainment experience.

Finally, if your racing movie is for advertising purposes you might want to add a title, introduction, and conclusion featuring your company with contact information, logo, website, etc. Video is an excellent way to advertise your product or service. The key is to produce an engaging, exciting racing movie that has a chance to go viral, or at least gets forwarded around because it’s entertaining.

The Men and Marriage Mix – Make Him Pop the Question

Filed under Commitment by kymelotee7013 on 22-11-2011

Who wouldn’t cringe at the thought of marriage. Of waking up over and over with the same person every morning. Sharing the same room with them, the same household, the same personal space. And this is not to say merely on the physical sense. Emotionally, mentally and psychologically, you have to get used to the idea that you are with “somebody”. When there is you, there has to be him, or her and you’re basically considered a unit in itself. If a man or a woman has gotten used to the freedom and independence of singleness, marriage can come off to be such an enclosed place.

Women are more apt to think of themselves as Cinderellas swooning at the thought of their prince charmings. And as if their boyfriends are their knights in shining armour off to their rescue. And thus when he pops the question to and offers her a ring, she pictures both of them on the path to marital bliss. But men and women are often of different polarities. The marital bliss which a woman so fancies may seem to be a dreadful state of confinement for a man. A woman can be left in a quandary. Does her boyfriend think of the conglomeration of him and her and for the long term at that? How can she tell if he is considering the actual “M” word with her? How is it to tell whether he is marriage material? A telltale sign is when a man has introduced his so called girlfriend to his family.

Men are often tentative on letting a woman meet his family and siblings. If he does bring in the idea of a particular woman to his family, then it’s a good sign. More so if he hasn’t done it before with his previous girlfriends. If a man leaves some of his things at his girlfriend’s place, or when he allows vice versa, there are better probabilities for a more stable relationship. It is somewhat of a symbol of his and her worlds meshing. Otherwise, a man would be adamant about keeping his space strictly his space. And then there is of course him foreseeing or envisioning a future with her.

The thought of moving into the suburbs in a cozy “home”. The idea of having children with her is becoming viable. An unavailable man would be appalled at the sight of “kids”. More so with the thought of having them. But when he fancies the woman he is with, he could contemplate on establishing a long-term partnership with her. As a spouse, that is. And eventually moving on to the next level of growth with her. Marriage is often romanticized as a man and woman so enamored of each other. When they have stated their marital vows, it is as if they’ll be off to a dreamland where their so called “love” will weather everything.

When a man or woman seem hesitant of venturing into it, we see them as rather juvenile. But hesitation is a form of caution. Where pro’s are con’s are weighed and many things are anticipated. It is because one realizes that marriage is a crucial responsibility. A man could be hesitant of getting married in this sense. Rather than a woman pressuring him to be bound to her, she should instead present herself as a capable person. For her to strive in herself to be capable rather than being needy. When a man sees that she is able and capable, then would he think of her as an ideal partner in the tumultuous commitment called marriage.
